The following information applies to the period of Feb. 22-28.
There will be intermittent road closures weekdays on Washington Street between Roop and Division streets due to the construction of the East/West Water Transmission Project. Bus stops on Washington Street, west of Carson Street, will be temporarily closed beginning Wednesday, Feb. 24, weather pending.
Proctor and Telegraph streets will be closed to through traffic during daytime hours weekdays between Carson and Nevada streets due to utility work. In addition, there will be minor delays on Curry Street between Musser and Spear streets during this time, with possible night work as well.
Utility work will continue from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays at the following locations, with possible flagger controlled traffic:
Mountain Street between Fleischmann Way and Long Street; road will be closed to through traffic Monday through Thursday, and bus stops on Mountain and Division streets and Fleischmann Way will be temporarily closed within the construction area
Division Street between Fleischmann Way and Long Street; road will be closed to through traffic Monday afternoon
Long Street between Mountain and Division streets
Fleischmann Way between Mountain and Division streets
Sierra Circle, Hillside Way, Miller Way, Pine View Way, and Lane Circle
Lane closures are expected at the following locations due to utility work.
Presti Lane between Eagle Valley Ranch Road and Medical Parkway
Center Drive near Topsy Lane
Iris Street between King and Fourth streets, primarily shoulder work
Peters Street between Burton and David streets, possible full closure with detours at times
Nevada Street between Bath and Meyer streets, shoulder work only
Race Track Road will be closed to through traffic between Bigelow and Schulz drives for the week.
There will be work on the shoulder of King Street west of Ormsby Boulevard. Two-way traffic will be maintained but the road will be narrowed.
The Bellevue Road bridge over I-580 in Washoe Valley will continue to be closed due to maintenance. The overpass and ramps are expected to be closed for approximately three months. Detours will be signed.
