The Greewave wrestling team could be bringing home a state championship.
Fallon leads the Division I-A State Championships after it advanced seven wrestlers to the title round at the Desert Arena in Primm. The Greenwave leads Lowry, 115.5-62, while Northern DI-A regional champ Spring Creek has floundered, scoring only 38 points and sits in fifth. Virgin Valley is in third with 47 points followed by Elko with 44.
Mason Smith (113 pounds), Sean McCormick (138), Jack Swisher (145), Matt Goings (152), Trae Workman (160), Sam Goings (170) and Juan Ledezma (182) each won their opening two matches to notch a berth in the title bout.
Still alive in the consolation round is Terry White (106), while Dylan McAfee (126) and Kobe Abe (285) were bounced.
The championship bouts begin at 6 p.m.
