Virginia passed away in her home in Carson City surrounded by those who love her. Virginia led a life full of love, laughter, family, and travel. Virginia is survived by her husband of 53 years, Cecil L. Hoffman. Cecil and Virginia were married in Evanston, WY in 1962. They settled in Carson City in 1965 and raised their three children here. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. Virginia retired from the Carson City School District after 15 years of service in 2000. Previously, she had worked at Nevada National bank. Virginia is survived by her three children and two granddaughters: Bradley Hoffman, Bonnie Preston, and granddaughter Jessica Preston, Brian Hoffman and granddaughter Katelynn Masters and Chris Masters. Virginia is also survived by her siblings: Faye Black, David & Loretta Wagstaff, Jeanette Wagstaff, Terry & Dee Allison, Roy & Gerri Wagstaff, Ray & Liza Wagstaff, Marvin & Annie Wagstaff, Larry & Sue Wagstaff, and Peggy Hutchinson. Also, Paul & Fern Hoffman, Jan & Bill Pettit, Dennis & Doreen Hoffman, Norma Taylor, as well as all of their children and grandchildren which is over 200 nieces/nephews and great nieces/great nephews. Virginia was loved and adored by all those who knew her. She loved being with her family, country music, and the outdoors. The tumor may have stolen your mind but nothing could take your heart, Mom.
Viewing will be at Walton’s Funeral Home on Friday, February 26th, 2016 from 6 - 8pm and the funeral services for Virginia will be Saturday at 3pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Saliman Road.
