Born in Oroville, CA. Died in Stagecoach, after a long battle with cancer. Survived by his wife, Lori K Whatley and son; Adam P. Whatley, daughter-in-law Teresa Breeden and 2 grandchildren; Dante and Sophia, a brother, Cary L. Webber of Santa Rosa CA, a sister, Ginger Blodgett of Forestville, CA. and his stepfather, John W. Webber of Grants Pass OR. Dave was retired from the Legislative Council Bureau where he served as Facilities Manager and later as Construction Coordinator. He is a USAF veteran, serving in Alaska during the Vietnam era.He graduated college at UC Sacramento. He loved building things and working with wood, camping, hiking with his dog and living in the country. He loved his family most of all. He leaves behind many friends who admired and loved him. Memorial services will be held at Walton’s in Carson City on February 13th at 1 pm. and a Celebration of Life by the Friends of Bill W. will be held in Dayton at the Community Center, Pike street on February 19th at 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest a contribution to PanCan.org or the Carson Tahoe cancer center.
