All three Carson City Little League all-star teams have one loss heading into today’s action of Nevada District 1 tournament at Governors Field.
The Carson City 10s will play at 7:30 p.m. today on Field 4 against Reno Continental. The 10s pounded Centennial B, 14-1, on Sunday.
The Carson City 11s will play at 5 p.m. today on Field 4 against Reno Continental. The 11s have been off since losing to Reno American on Saturday.
The Carson City 12s will play at 5 p.m. today on Field 2 against Reno Continental. The 12s lost a quarterfinal game on Sunday to Reno American, 7-6.
Reno American was up 6-1 after three innings and took a 7-1 lead into the bottom of the fifth inning. Before Carson rallied.
Carson cut the lead to 7-4 after a two-run home run by Dillon Damico and a home run by Wesley Simpson, his third in three games. In the sixth inning, Trey Thomas, who was solid in relief of Tanner Hunt, homered after a single by Luke Pederson. Thomas’ homer, his second in the tournament, cut the lead to 7-6. Reno American was able to get the next two hitters and shut down the rally.
