A state official says soil samples haven’t turned up risky chemicals or hazardous materials where a liquid was poured into the ground on a video appearing to show employees of a Lyon County foundry dumping barrels of industrial waste.

Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources spokeswoman JoAnn Kittrell says investigators are still trying to determine what was dumped, and are reviewing waste handling at the facility.

Mound House-based Production Pattern and Foundry denies telling employees to dump chemicals, and suggests that a disgruntled former employee was responsible for the video posted to the internet in June.

The video was later removed. It appeared to show employees emptying barrels into the ground.

Foundry spokesman Craig Banko has said the company is cooperating with the investigation.
