Peter Kraemer was born in Piesport, Germany to Adam and Mathilde Kraemer. He came through Ellis Island.
Peter lived with his parents in Waterloo, Iowa where he graduated from Fresno State University.
Peter worked as a real estate appraiser in the banking industry.
He moved to Alaska where he started his own business in Anchorage. After 17 years, he sold it and moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he owned businesses in Tulsa, also in Waco and Arlington Texas.
He relocated to Reno, Nevada in 1996 and married Lane Vannoy Baxter in 1999.
Peter eventually sold all of his businesses in 2010 and retired to Minden, Nevada. After a period of time he decided he needed to “have something to do” and he went to work for Caesar’s Entertainment - Harvey’s Hotel at Lake Tahoe where he remained employed until his death.
He is survived by his wife, Lane Vannoy Baxter-Kraemer; daughter, Karie Kraemer Crosina (Mark); granddaughter, Sofia Crosina of San Mateo, California; sister Hannelore Hoffman, Reno; Stepson, Michael Baxter (Stephanie), Carson City; step-grandsons, Brandon Baxter and Garrett Baxter of Carson City; step-granddaughter, Mia Grace Baxter, Carson city.
Having served in the U.S. Navy, there will be Military Services held Saturday July 16th, 1:30 pm at Shadow Mountain Church, 1311 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville, Nevada
