Time is running out to order a Nevada Sesquicentennial commemorative license plate.

The plate, which celebrates Nevada’s 150th anniversary of statehood, is available until Oct. 31. After Nevada Day 2016, the plate will no longer be available.

Nevadans who already have the Sesquicentennial license plate will be able to keep the plate indefinitely by renewing it with their registration yearly.

“Nevadans’ response to this limited edition plate has been outstanding. We are battle born and Nevada proud. I urge all Nevadans to show their state pride by purchasing this special license plate before they are no longer available,” said Gov. Brian Sandoval.

The plate can be ordered at any Department of Motor Vehicles location in Nevada until Oct. 31. The plate also is exempt from the new eight-year rolling replacement requirement that began July 1.

“Purchasing one of these plates before they are no longer made is a great way to show your Nevada pride,” former Lt. Gov. and Nevada 150 Commission Chairman Brian Krolicki said. “I am confident that when we see the license plates on cars traveling across Nevada, we will remember the wonderful celebration of our 150th anniversary of statehood.”
