Raymond Walter Chester

Raymond Walter Chester, 88 of Cottage Grove, Oregon passed away July 5, 2016.He owned Douglas Iron Works in Minden, until 1991, when he retired. Raymond married Elaine Ingersoll on June 17, 1950 in Sutherlin, OR. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 daughters Debbie, Diane and Cathy as well as his wife of 62 years, Elaine and his three sisters. Raymond is survived by son-in-law Larry Berg, granddaughter Christalee Chapman, 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, Haleigh Williams and Riley Wise, two nephews and a niece. A memorial will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, July 15, 2016, at Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel, 123 S. 7th St., Cottage Grove, OR 97424. Arrangements by Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel.
