Blue Jays lose wild one vs. Outlawz

RENO — Six-plus innings and only one zero on the board. It was a game that belonged to the offenses.

The Carson Blue Jays scored in every inning, but still dropped a 14-13 decision to the Battle Born Outlawz Tuesday night at McQueen High School.

The Blue Jays led 4-3 and 7-5. The score was tied at 5 in the third and at 13-all entering the last of the seventh. Battle Born scored an unearned run off reliever Kyle Glanzmann, the final of six Carson pitchers.

Jesse Lopez, who tripled in the two seventh-inning runs, continued his outstanding year, going 4-for-4 with five RBI. Bryce Moyle went 2-for-3 with three RBI, Jace Keema went 2-for-3 with two RBI and Brandon Gagnon went 2-for-2 with an RBI.

Carson opens play in the Reno A’s tourney Thursday at 11 against the San Juan Spartans. at Bishop Manogue. The Blue Jays will play twice on Friday at 9 and 11:30 a.m.
