The Brewery Arts Center is welcoming the Carbe-Durand Band Friday as part of its ongoing free outdoor summer concert series.
The blues-rock band is made up of Liza Carbé and J.P. Durand, wife and husband guitar players, joined by drummer and vocalist Nicole Falzone and keyboardist Ryan Finch.
The couple are also, along with Jim Stibblefield, founders of Incendio, the world guitar group who played last week’s BAC concert.
The couple met in 1993 when Carbé was playing guitar in Lindsay Buckingham’s solo tour. She then joined Durand in his Steely Dan cover group, Pretzel Logic.
The duo recently released a new CD called “A Bridge Between.”
The band replaces The Holdup, which had to cancel at the last minute because one its members is in the hospital.
The concert is also the only event in the 10-week Levitt Amp Carson City Concert Series that takes place on Friday night.
The Carbe-Durand Band plays at the BAC, on its Minnesota Street stage, starting at 7 p.m.
The BAC is located at 449 W. King St.
