Myron C. Miller, MSgt. USAF (RET) passed away June 28, 2016 after a brief illness. He was born on September 30, 1940 in Elko, Nevada to Clyde and Grace Miller. His father worked for the railroad, so he lived in various locations in Nevada; as well as in Mississippi and Portola, California. Returning to Nevada in 1947, he attended various schools, eventually meeting his future wife, Edna, in the 8th grade. They attended Lander County High School (Now Battle Mountain High School) and graduated in 1959. In October 1959 he joined the United States Air Force, and was in Medical Food Service. He married Edna in Winnemucca, NV on November 5, 1960. His Air Force Career was spent in various locations across the United States as well as Greenland and Germany. Retiring from the service in 1982, he worked in restaurant management in Southern California before returning to Nevada in 1991, where he was the manager of Jerry’s Restaurant in Fallon until he retired in 2003. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Edna; Sons Edward (Janet), Henry of Fallon, David (Ruth) of Reno; grandchildren Amanda Miller of Fallon, Bethany Robertson of Winnemucca, Candice Lynes of Boise, Idaho, Rachel Miller of Fallon, and Sam of Reno; great-grandchildren Zachary, Clara, Jeffrey, Mya and Silas. A private family graveside service will be held. Memorial service will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 2nd at the LDS Chapel, 450 North Taylor St., Fallon, NV. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to any Veteran’s Organization of your choice.
