Nevada’s caucus system is flawed
I would like to see Nevada change from a caucus system to primaries for nominating presidential candidates.
Caucuses are skewed to the young and fit. There were no accommodations at Carson High School for those of us with disabilities. Those who could not stand in the cold on concrete for 1 1/2 hours or sit in uncomfortable chairs for another hour were not represented in the caucus results.
I understand changing to primaries has come before legislators before. I would support another try to change from caucuses to primaries so that those of us with physical limitations can voice our preferences by a vote, including absentee ballots.
