Carson Tahoe Health’s Dr. David Johnson honored as Physician of the Year

Carson Tahoe Health would like to recognize David A. Johnson, MD, medical director of the Carson Tahoe Center for Wound Healing in Carson City, for receiving the honorary Physician of the Year award from Healogics, Inc.

With more than 800 affiliate organizations, Healogics, Inc. is the nation’s largest network of advanced wound care services. This recognition is a tribute to Dr. Johnson’s compassion and exceptional patient care, as well as dedication in support of his colleagues through continuing education and outreach.

“I feel honored to have received this award,” said Dr. Johnson. “I’m passionate about my patients. Helping them with chronic wounds and enhancing their quality of life gives me great joy. I’m also pleased to provide continuing education and professional development opportunities for wound care specialists nationwide. By sharing the latest advancements, we can continuously drive wound science, healing, and prevention forward.”

Born and raised in Northern Nevada, Dr. Johnson has deep roots in the community, both personally and professionally. He followed in his father’s footsteps, serving as a family practitioner in Carson Valley for over a decade prior to becoming the medical director of the Carson Tahoe Center for Wound Healing in 2013. Outside of his professional endeavors, he’s an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
