Virginia Elizabeth Schwall

Virginia Elizabeth Schwall passed away Feb.17 at Carson Tahoe Hospital. She was born on May 21, l920 in Stockton, Ca.to Stockton Fire Chief Martin Cannon and Charlotte Cannon. She was named after Virginia City. Virginia graduated from St. Mary’s High School Class of 1938. In 1960, she married Gregory Schwall at Old St.Mary’s of the Mountain and in 1962 they had their daughter, Janet. She loved horses, and all animals donating generously to many animal shelters, churches and missions. She worked 36 yrs for the City of Stockton and was a resident of Stockton for 85 years. She has been a resident of Dayton since 2006 enjoying bingo, birthday Fridays and orshiping the Lord at St.Ann’s Catholic Church. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Greg, and and her daughter, Janet. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Ann’s Church, Dayton, Nv.5:30 pm. Saturday March 5.followed by a potluck reception. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St.Mary’s High School 5648 N. ElDorado St. Stockton, Ca.95207.
