Lovelock Warden Quentin Byrne has been promoted to deputy director of Operations for the Nevada Department of Corrections in Carson City.
The announcement was made Monday by Department Director James Dzurenda.
Byrne began his career in 1994 as a correctional officer at Nevada State Prison. He rose through the ranks and was named Lovelock Warden last year.
The deputy director is headquartered in Carson City with the rest of the department’s top administrators.
Lovelock is one of 18 institutions operated by the department.
