Dorothea Jeanette Doyle, 63, a Cape Coral, FL resident for the past ten months, formerly of Carson City, NV passed away Friday, April 1, 2016 in Bonita Springs, FL. She was born November 19, 1952 in Philadelphia, PA to Frederick and Dorothy Ritz, now deceased. Dorothea was of the Catholic faith. She was an accomplished educator and humanitarian who positively impacted the lives of so many; in this way, Dorothea lives on. Dorothea worked as an LPN for Eagle Valley Children’s Home and then for Dr. Lloyd and Dr. Toth, as a teacher’s aid for Seeliger Elementary in Special Education, as a job placement specialist for United Way, as a librarian for Mark Twain Elementary, and as a skilled teacher for many years at Mark Twain Elementary. She dedicated much of her time to the education and promotion of children and to those in need. Dorothea valued education and earned numerous degrees and certifications, and she was a well-known music and dog lover. She is survived by her loving daughter, Dr. Colleen Muñoz (Andy) of CT; four loving sisters, Gloria O’Malley (James) of Denton, NC, Jeanette Cleary (Robert) of Cape Coral, FL, Theresa Smith of Kendrick, ID, and Rosemary Bulleck (Edward) of Florence, NJ; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. No formal services are planned at this time.
