Florence Mary DeVries (Southerland), 82, of Silver Springs, Nevada, died April 20, 2016, at John Muir Hospital in Concord, California. After a long battle with cancer, Flo joins the love of her life, Ken DeVries, as well as her parents, Frank and Elsie (Morris) Southerland, Montrose, CO. She was also preceded in death by four siblings, Chuck Southerland, Phoenix, AZ, Bill Southerland, Tuscon, AZ, Wilma Winfield, Pittsburg, CA, and George Southerland, Ashland City, TN. She leaves behind one sister, Marie Goltl, Pittsburg, CA, and many other loved ones. Flo was born and raised in Montrose, CO, and after marrying Ken, lived in Hawaii, California, and Nevada. Flo loved her Yorkie dogs, all things sweet, and children of all ages. Flo never met a stranger. She will be missed by all who knew her. A celebration of life will be held in Pittsburg, CA.
