Kathie Wyatt

Kathie Wyatt, 64, passed away May 19, 2016 in Gardnerville, NV. She was born in Schurz, NV on November 17, 1951 to Robert and Leasha Wyatt. During her life Kathie had many accomplishments in the community. She was a former chairwoman of the Dresslerville Community Council. Kathie was a program manager for numerous social programs within the Washoe Tribe. She was committed to the success of her community and always believed in the importance of her efforts. When President Bill Clinton was inaugurated Kathie was present and shook hands with President Clinton on that memorable day. She was the type of person who always saw the goodness in all people and was ready to lend a hand to help those in her community. Kathie was preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter, Natalie and brothers, Dabert, Daniel and Harold. She will be dearly missed by her sons, Justin Box and his wife, Kelley and Robert Box and his wife Joni. Brothers, Vernon, Floyd, Robert and Lloyd Wyatt. Sisters, Barbara Zieroth, Doris Buckhart and Victoria Wyatt. Four grandchildren and one great granddaughter. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 starting at 10:00am at Walton’s Chapel in Carson City with the Funeral Service starting at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at the Genoa Cemetery.
