Richard “Dick” Deegan, 77, passed away on April 19, 2016 in Fallon, NV. He was born on March 29, 1939 in Altadena, CA to Richard and Eleanor Deegan. Dick grew up in Los Olivos, CA and graduated from Santa Ynez Valley Union High School in Santa Ynez, CA in 1957. After high school he enlisted into the Navy and then attended Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, CA. He was a Sales Representative for Western horse tack and equipment and sold to Western Stores in Northern Nevada and Northern California for many years. He also worked at D Bar M Western Store in Reno, Nevada. He enjoyed golfing in his later years and team roping in his younger years. He loved visiting with old friends and always seemed to have a smile and kind word for everyone. He is survived by his wife of almost 48 years, Janet; children Shannon (Chance) Larsen of Medford, OR, Cody Deegan and Katy (Paul) Loop all of Fallon, NV; grandchildren Tuscan and China Larsen, Kaleb Deegan, and Gabriana and Matthias Loop. A Celebration of Dick’s Life will be held this summer in Fallon, the date will be determined at a later time. Cremation will be under the directions of The Garden Funeral Home Cemetery and Crematory.
