Guitar keeps music at Pioneer High School

This year Pioneer High School is offering two sections of guitar. Beginner guitar for those students looking to play an instrument for the first time or expand previous knowledge and skills, and advanced guitar for those wanting to take it to the next level. Music programs in high school can have an amazing array of benefits.

Musical training helps develop language and reasoning, pattern recognition, coordination, imagination and intellectual curiosity. It also helps students relax, and develop tools to better cope with stress and anxiety. Additionally, studies have shown students who participate in musical performance are more engaged in school, are more self-confident, and tend to do better on high stakes tests. Pioneer High School believes by offering a musical program, it better approaches and meets the needs of all of its students.
