‘Counteracting terrorism’ lecture planned
Kari Mashos, a practitioner and teacher of Christian Science healing, will present a talk, “Counteracting Terrorism — The Global Reach of Prayer” at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22 in the Nevada Room of the Governor’s Mansion.
Mashos shares ideas based on the Bible and “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures” by Mary Baker Eddy. She said she uses her own experiences to help audiences explore how to connect more deeply with universal love to find comfort, safety, and peace.
Mashos was an opera singer for several years and also founded her own opera company to highlight social issues before devoting herself full-time to the practice and teaching of Christian Science healing. Mashos has appeared live on radio programs in the U.S., UK, and Australia. She’s a frequent contributor to Christian Science publications and speaks internationally as a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship.
