Western Nevada College honoring youth soccer players Oct. 15 in Carson City

Local youth soccer players will be treated to a special day at Western Nevada College on Saturday, Oct. 15.

WNC’s soccer club is presenting Youth Soccer Day to honor players, families and coaches at its men’s match with Sonoma State at noon Saturday at John L. Harvey Field.

Any youth soccer player who shows up to the match in their team uniform will be admitted free, along with their family.

“There will be prizes, shooting contests at halftime and autograph signings after the game,” said Ian Hill, who coaches WNC’s men’s and women’s teams.
