The Carson City Sheriff’s Office arrested two men Wednesday night after a brief standoff with police.

Carson City deputies and Nevada Highway Patrol troopers descended on an apartment at 20 College Parkway Wednesday around 8:03 p.m. to arrest a potential suspect involved in a purse snatching Wednesday morning.

Deputies had responded to reports of a burglary around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday morning at the Winnie Lane Crossroads Lounge. Two suspects broke into the business and took a maintenance worker’s purse and other items from the business.

At College Parkway, authorities surrounded the apartment in order to safeguard the other residents in the complex. After a half-hour a female voluntarily exited the apartment.

Deputies attempted to call the suspect out of the apartment for over an hour before deploying less than lethal pepperballs to force the suspect out.

At the scene, Nick Morrow, 30, and Donald Morrow, 28, were taken into custody. Donald attempted to flee on foot from deputies but was detained quickly.

Nick Morrow is facing charges associated with the burglary and Donald is facing the charge of obstructing a peace officer. The female hasn’t been charged at this time. This matter is still ongoing and anyone with information concerning the burglary should call the Sheriff’s Office at 775-887-2500.
