9:05 p.m.: The main fire is out, fire officials said. Crews will remain on scene throughout the night to mopup hot spots. Belt said that containment was at 0 percent, however. Evacuations are still in place for the time being. Belt said approximately 65 homes were evacuated. Those homeowners aren't expected to return to their homes before midnight.
Evacuees are at Fuji Park, where they are getting assistant from the Salvation Army.
Shortly before 9 p.m., the Carson City Sheriff's Office turned over operations to Washoe Tribe Police.
There's still no cause of the wind-drive fire.

Evacuations are taking place as a wind-driven brush fire is ripping through south Carson City. Clear Creek Road is being evacuated and the old Clear Creek mobile home park has been evacuated.
One structure has been lost.
Structure protection unit is in front of homes to attempt to stop the loss of more structures, Carson City City Manager Nick Marano said.
Firefighters biggest concern is the wind blowing embers from the fire and creating multiple smaller fires. Marano said they are worried because the wind is expected to pick up in the next hour.
Marano said crews have knocked down the fire on the southeast but are worried about fire moving toward the southwest toward 395.
"Fire department is doing a heroic job," Marano said.
Evacuees are being directed to Fuji Park.
"Lots of engines on scene," said Carson City Fire Department public information officer Stacey Belt said. "We need more engines and equipment because we are fighting the wind. Our number 1 goal is to protect the community and save homes."
Multiple roads are closed around the area, however 395 remains opened at the this time. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
The fire and command center have been moved to Silver Sage and Clear Creek. A community resource team is responding.
Crews from both fire and law enforcement from the following are on scene: Carson City, East Fork, Douglas County, Lyon County, Capitol Police, Washoe, Sparks, California, Lake Tahoe and Nevada Highway Patrol. State and federal resources are headed toward the scene to battle the blaze which first started at 5:30 p.m.
No injuries have been reported.
