Henry Castillo Sr.

Henry Castillo Sr. 68, of Reno, passed away on October 12, 2016.

Henry was born in Oakland, California, on December 5, 1947. He spent his early years in Southern California, and moved his family to Carson City, Nevada, in 1980.

Henry served in the Army and was in Vietnam from 1969 - 1970, where he drove a guntruck. He was awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star with Valor.

Henry began working for Pacific Telephone Company in 1970, and later Nevada Bell, in Carson City. He retired in 1999.

Henry married Linda Marenco on September 7, 1968. They were happily married for 48 years.

He is survived by his wife, Linda, and his two sons, Henry Castillo Jr. (and his wife Stacy) and Christopher Castillo. He is also survived by his two precious granddaughters, Josie and Lola.

A celebration of Henry’s life will be held on November 26, 2016, at the Bartley Ranch Western Heritage Center in Reno.
