Carson City Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons holding Nevada Day pancake breakfast

One of Carson City’s oldest service clubs is bringing back its pancake breakfast on the morning of the Nevada Day Parade.

The Carson Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons will be serving up pancakes, sausage, fruit, orange juice and coffee from 6 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29.

The breakfast will be in the dining room at the historic Carson Lodge building at 113 E. Washington St.

“This is our second year of offering this service to parade attendees and participants,” said Terry Edis, Carson Lodge Worshipful Master. “It is a fun event and we are proud to open the lodge to the public. The building was the original V&T Railroad Depot and is on the National Historic Register.”

Edis said the breakfast will help the club maintain the historic building while giving it the opportunity to show it to the public.

“Not only do we get to raise money for youth organizations in Carson City, but we get to show the area our historic building. This is just another way that Freemasonry in Nevada contributes to our communities,” Edis said.

The cost is $5; all proceeds will benefit Carson Lodge’s Historical Building Maintenance Fund and Carson Lodge’s youth organizations.

Attendees can choose to dine in or take out.
