The Mint Foundation is fast approaching completion. Judging from its appearance by moonlight, the work is very thoroughly done. Curry Engine Company will have a drill this evening at seven o’clock.

The Santa Cruz Engine: Yesterday Frank Craven and Henry Bath started for Lake Tahoe with an engine from the Narrow Gauge R.R. The engine is called the “Santa Cruz” and is now designed for D.L. Bliss Narrow Gauge Railway. They started out with 10 horses and at the foot of Clear Creek grade they will be reinforced with 10 more. They expect to make the trip this afternoon, barring accidents.

Connections are being made with the state main at the corner of Musser and Carson streets for a public drinking fountain to be put in by the State Board of Capitol Commissioners at the northwest corner of the Capitol block.

R.R. Malo of Minden, a veteran of 21 years service with the Virginia and Truckee railroad company, resigned his position as freight passenger traffic manager, Gordon A. Sampson, Vice President, announced today.
