Carson City native Tammy Westergard has been appointed assistant administrator of the Library and Development Services position within the Nevada’s Library, Archives and Public Records department.
She will oversee the library and the information service center for state government and direct the services to the state’s community libraries.
Library and Archives Director Jeff Kintop announced the appointment saying Westergard comes with outstanding credentials for the job.
She has been deputy director and interim director for the Carson City Library from 2010 to 2015 and before that was a deputy director for the Carson City Office of Business Development. After leaving the Carson library, she moved to Oregon where she was Library District for the Jackson County Library District in Jackson County.
She received her bachelor’s from University of Nevada, Reno and a Master of Library Science from the University of North Texas.
