Sierra Nevada Forums to focus on recreational marijuana Tuesday

Sierra Nevada Forums is hosting a forum Tuesday night entitled “Realities of Recreational Marijuana; the Colorado Experience.”

The event will start at 6 p.m., with doors opening at 5:30, at the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall, 511 West King St.

The forum will tackle November’s statewide ballot initiative about legalized marijuana in Nevada.

It will feature District Attorney Mitchell Morrissey from Denver, Colo., and his experiences since Colorado passed Colorado’s recreational marijuana bill.

William Adler, executive director of the Nevada Medical Marijuana Association, and Pam Graber, volunteer Advocate for Nevadans for Responsible Drug Policy, will present an overview of Question 2, and participate in the Q&A session.

The forum will be moderated by Jason Woodbury, Carson City district attorney
