The Genoa Lakes Ranch course is hosting a Glow Golf Tournament on Oct. 1.
The cost is $50 for non-members, $30 for members and $40 for social members. The cost includes golf, cart, range balls, buy-in for the game, glow balls and glow necklaces,
The event gets under way with food at 6 and the nine-hole shotgun starts around 7:30 p.m. Bring flashlights and headlamps. There’s a prize for the best decorated golf cart. The course will be all par-3s. The winners get a round of golf for four at Hidden Valley Country Club.

Wildcats 3-4 on weekend
SPARKS — The Nevada Wildcats went 3-4 over the weekend at a USSSA event at Golden Eagle Regional Park.
On Saturday, the Wildcats beat the Dynamite, 9-3, and lost to Nevada Stealth, 6-4, and the Fairfield Phantoms, 4-1. On Sunday, Nevada beat Stealth-Olson, 8-2, and Nevada Lightning, 12-2. The Wildcats lost to the Phantoms, 8-2, and Fallon, 7-6.
Neva Adams went 12-for-18, Kennedy Radican went 7-for-10, Cori Doran went 10-for-13 and Haylee Busby went 7-for-16.
The team is 9-9 in the fall.
Masiello quartet wins
John Masiello, Nick Paul, John Lewis and Gary Mick teamed up to win Flight A at the recent Empire Ranch Senior Men’s Club event played at Silver Oak.
The format was Cha-cha-cha. The winning score was 100. David Knigton, Bob Warzynski, Terry Thomas and Tony Barbaria were second at 112. Fred Blackburn, Bob Pitcock, Carl Slate and Victor Roscha won Flight B with a 107, six shots ahead of Bill Langs, Joe Stewart, Ralph Bothe and Bob White.
Lewis, Chuck Bell, Al Giannott, David Voss and Pitcock won closest to the hole honors.
Prause wins club title
Marc Prause knocked off Marc Menezes, 8 and 6, to win the Carson Valley Golf Club Men’s Club championship.
In Flight A, Neil Motley beat Fred Coon 2-up, John Pearson won Flight B with a 4 and 3 win over Jack Zippwald, and Paul Lockwood took the Flight C crown with a 4 and 3 win over John Carey.
