Carson City road report for Sept. 19-25

The following information applies to the period of Sept. 19-25:

Work will continue on the Downtown Corridor improvement project on Carson Street. For details regarding traffic impacts, refer to the Cone Zone in the Nevada Appeal, or go to www.carsonproud.com. These sources are updated weekly throughout the duration of the project.

Lane closures on U.S. 395 between Clear Creek and Snyder avenues on northbound lanes between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday-Tuesday.

There will be traffic controls at the intersections of Research Way and College Parkway and at Goni Road and College Parkway Friday-Sunday for Street Vibrations. Turning movements at these intersections will be limited.

Lane closures with traffic controls are at the following locations due to utility/road work:

Fairview Drive between Fifth Street and South Edmonds Drive from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Edmonds Drive south of Fairview Drive from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

E. William Street between State and Roop streets from 1 to 3 a.m. Thursday.

Road closures are expected at the following locations due to utility/road work. Driver are asked to follow detours:

Topsy Lane between Center Drive and U.S. 395 for all hours Monday through Sunday; local traffic only.

Nye Lane at its intersection of U.S. 50 will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.

Intersection of Baker Drive and Stafford Way will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

The northbound left turn lane on N. Carson Street at Hot Springs Road from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Bigelow Drive will be closed to through traffic at Snyder Avenue from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Friday.
