Carson City is having an eventful Easter week with egg hunts, bunny visits and other events slated.

Saturday

Meet the Easter Bunny from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Carson Mall. For information, call 775-720-2542.

The Easter Bunny will be on hand at the Northern Nevada Spring Faire from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Fuji Park, 6501 Old Clear Creek Road. The event offers wellness stations, bounce houses, free face painting and children’s crafts. A petting zoo will be set up costing $1 per child. Pony rides for $1 each will be available for children 50 pounds or less. The event, a fundraiser for the Esperanza Foundation and The Little Things, will collect canned food, jackets, new socks, hygiene products and other items will be collected for those in need.

Hop over to Mormon Station State Historic Park in Genoa for the Second Annual Cotton Tails Easter celebration from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Families can enjoy a pancake brunch, followed by an Easter egg hunt, lawn games, face-painting and a photo booth. Also on hand will be the Easter Bunny, and, new this year, a local arts and crafts farmers market. Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance at jalieevents.com. Brunch is $15 for adults and $12 for children. The cost for the egg hunt is $10. For information, contact Jessica or Emily at Jalie Events at 775-901-0567.

The Association of Latin American Students at Western Nevada College will host the eighth annual Easter Fiesta from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Join the student club for games and activities for children of all ages at Rotary Plaza at the Carson City campus, 2201 W. College Parkway. Among the festivities are three Easter egg hunts (10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m.), as well as a number of games, including face painting, a coloring contest, piñatas, musical chairs and bunny limbo. There will also be a chance to take a photo with WNC’s Wildcats mascot, Willy. Game tickets cost only $1 each or six tickets for $5. Proceeds will help fund student scholarships. Thousands of eggs and hundreds of prizes will be awarded at the 39th Annual Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m. at Centennial Park. Moose Lodge No. 2709 is taking over organization of the annual event from the Kiwanis Club of Carson City.

Several thousand eggs will be hidden at Lahontan State Recreation Area when the 22nd annual Easter Egg Hunt returns. The event includes candy, prizes and photos with the Easter Bunny. The hunt kicks off at 10 a.m. Organizers say the eggs are usually found quickly, and the hunt ends in less than five minutes. Raffle prizes will be awarded following the hunt. Meet at the Lahontan Recreation Area, day use picnic area, 1971 Fir Avenue, Silver Springs. There’s no cost for the event, and park entrance fees will be waived for participating families. An Easter celebration for all ages will be from noon to 2 p.m. at Washoe Lake State Park. The Easter Bunny will hop into the park at noon, and an egg hunt will start at 12:30 p.m. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. The park entrance is free for the event. Pastries, strip steak, lamb, waffles and other brunch items are on the menu at Toiyabe Golf Club’s Easter brunch. A range of salads — beet kale, basil Caesar, iceberg wedge, pasta and potato — and sides like garlic mashed potatoes, honey butter carrots and broccoli au gratin will be served. There also will be a poke bar of ahi, swordfish and salmon. Desserts include fruit cobbler, vanilla bean cheesecake, champagne gelee and chocolate mousse. The cost of $42.95 includes bottomless champagne. Kids under 12 eat for $14.95, and kids under 4 eat for free. An egg hunt at 10 a.m. will be followed by brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. For reservations, call 775-882-0882. The club, formerly Thunder Canyon Gold Club, is at 19 Lightning W. Ranch Road in Washoe Valley.

St. Hugh of Lincoln Episcopal Outreach Center, 4280 Highway 50 E. in Silver Springs, will be holding an Easter Holy Communion, Renewal of Baptismal Vows, and Blessing of Pascal Candle at 10 a.m.

First Baptist Church, 1750 Mountain, Carson City, is holding Easter service at 10:45 a.m.

C5 Church is holding a sunrise Easter service at the Capitol grounds with another service following at the church at 10 a.m.

Easter services are planned at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 314 N. Division St. A sunrise service will be at 6:30, with a traditional service at 8 and a contemporary service at 10 a.m. The last service will be followed by an egg hunt.
