Fallon rodeo team puts in strong showing

At the recent Fallon rodeo, in the High School division, Jake Cerini and Taelor Graziano (Las Vegas) took fourth, while Matt Goings and Payton Feyder (Elko) placed fifth. Garrett Weltzin (Fernley) and Caleb Hendrix came in sixth and Mackay Spyrow and Jordan Taylor finished ninth.

In the pole bending, Fallon’s Grace Felton took second and teammate Jayme Waggoner took seventh. Felton placed ninth in the breakaway, and in the tie down roping, Goings finished eighth. In the goats, Leighton Beyer placed fourth, and Leta Ikonen took fifth. Hendrix placed second in the boys cutting. In the girls cutting Jessica Gomes placed fifth and also fifth in the reined cow horse.

On Sunday, Coy Glover began his day by placing fourth in the steer wrestling. In the team roping, McKenna Brennan and Waggoner placed sixth, Taylor and Spyrow took eighth while Feyder and Goings ended up ninth. Felton placed ninth in the barrel racing and second in the pole bending.

In the tie down roping Hendrix placed first, and Cerini took second. In the goat tying, Beyer placed sixth, Chloe Lambert took seventh and Ikonen finished 10th. In the boys cutting Hendrix came in first, and in the girls cutting Gomes placed second.

In Saturday’s Junior High division, Logan Dixon got first, and Triton Desmond placed second in the bareback steer riding. In the chute dogging Desmond took third, and Dixon followed in fourth. In the barrels, Tylie Norcutt placed second, while Reese Waggoner got seventh, Bethie Ikonen took eighth, and Tayler Felton finished 10th. In the team roping, Jayden Jensen and Daunte Ceresola (Fernley) got fourth, and Dixon placed third in the bull riding.

Jensen placed first in poles, while Felton took second, Tylie Norcutt took fourth, and Reese Waggoner finished eighth. In the girls breakaway, Ikonen placed sixth, Waggoner took seventh and Ali Norcutt finished 10th. In the goat tying Ali Norcutt placed second, and Felton came in eighth. Desmond got seventh in boys goats, and in the ribbon roping, Jensen and Ceresola took first; Felton and Brock Feyder (Elko) placed third, Desmond and Ali Norcutt came in fourth, and Dixon and Macady Bundy (Alamo) finished fifth.

On Sunday Dixon took fist in the bareback steer riding, Desmond got first in the saddle bronc steer riding while Dixon took second. In the chute dogging, Dixon took second and Desmond came in third. In the barrel racing Macy Henke got fourth, Tylie Norcutt placed fifth, and Ali Norcutt finished seventh. Felton and Feyder took third, Jensen and Ceresola came in fifth, and Ali Norcutt and Kenzie Raper (Douglas-Carson) finished sixth.

In the bull riding, Dixon placed third. Felton took first in the pole bending, Ali Norcutt placed eighth, and Waggoner finished ninth. Waggoner also took fourth in the breakaway while Felton placed eighth and Jensen came in ninth. Desmond placed seventh in the boys breakaway, Ikonen took second in the goats while Ali Norcutt placed third, Tylie Norcutt placed sixth, and Henke finished eighth. In boys goats, Desmond took second, and Jensen and Ceresola finished first in the ribbon roping.
