2 Carson residents die in crash

Two people and a dog died following a head on crash on Fourth of July.

Thomas Guard, 52, and Moriah Williams, 38, both of Carson City were killed after their Scion crossed into oncoming traffic. The crash occurred Tuesday at 9:26 p.m. on Kingsbury Grade, two miles up from Foothill Road.

According to reports, the Scion was traveling eastbound on Kingsbury when the vehicle crossed over the double yellow lines into the westbound travel lane, crashing into a Ford F150.

Guard and Williams were pronounced dead on scene. The female driver and male passenger of the F150 were transported by CareFlight to Renown Regional Medical Center with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Guard and the two in the F150 were wearing seatbelts; Williams was not. There was also a dog in the Scion that succumbed to injuries from the crash.
