Toiyabe Indian Health Project takes part in Walker Health Fair

COLEVILLE, Calif. — Staff members of Toiyabe Indian Health Project’s Coleville Clinic participated in the Walker Health Fair on June 2 at the Walker Community Center.

The Coleville Clinic’s participation consisted of medical and dental staff, outreach and enrollment staff, and community health representatives.

Staff provided information about the services that the Coleville Clinic provides to all areas of Mono County and parts of central Nevada. Visitors at the health fair learned that the Coleville Clinic, although partially funded by the Indian Health Service, is open to all community members regardless of socio-economic status or ethnicity.

Clinic staff was happy to donate backpacks — and send a big thank you to the Bridgeport Indian Colony for donating bicycles — for the health fair raffles.
