The Carson City Board of Supervisors is holding a special meeting Tuesday.
The single item on the agenda is the annual performance review for City Manager Nick Marano.
A review must be held every June, according to Marano’s contract.
The review will include goal setting and possibly a merit increase. Last year’s goals included developing a plan for moving the city to performance-based budgeting and looking into converting the landfill to single-stream recycling, funding for deferred maintenance, code for extended stay motels and an utility assistance program for those in need.
Last year, Marano didn’t request or receive a pay raise, despite a motion by then-Supervisor Jim Shirk to bump up his salary.
Marano was hired by the city in May 2014.
The meeting is Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in The Studio at the Adam’s Hub, 111. W. Proctor St.
According to the city’s website, the meeting won’t be broadcast live.
