Florence Loren Terry Edgmon

Florence Loren Terry Edgmon, 96, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2017 in Fallon, Nevada.

Florence was born at Fort Douglas, Arkansas on August 11, 1920, to Captain and Oma Terry.

Florence met Carl Randolph Edgmon in Escondido, California, they were married in Yuma, AZ on September 6, 1942.

In March of 1959 they moved to Fallon and bought a farm. Carl was a farmer in Fallon. Florence loved to work in her yard and flower garden and in her spare time she loved to make quilts.

Florence retired in 1984, she had done many things in her life, most of her working years were spent at the Fallon Sprouse- Reitz store.

Florence was a life long member of the Nazarene Church both in Fallon and California, she was a very active member, serving in many positions within the church. She called and visited the sick, and taught the children Bible School. She was a volunteer for 18 years at the Fallon Convalescent Center Florence will be greatly missed, she was a friend to everyone.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters; two granddaughters, Shawnda and Terry Edgmon and one great-granddaughter, Dilynn Edgmon.

Florence is survived by her sister, Vernice Terry France of Arkansas; sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry (Georgia); Kenneth (Kathy);Terry (Diana); all live in Fallon; grandchildren, Ryan Edgmon; Craig Edgmon;Denise Strong; David Edgmon;

Tami Edgmon- Bickel; Chad Edgmon; Jerry Don Edgmon; Steve; Rodney and Kevin; great-grandchildren, Cassie; Ami; Logan; Craig; Caleb; Casen; Damon; Deegan; Jessie; Teela; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services to celebrate Florence’s life will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 at The Gardens Chapel at 11:00 AM.

Visitation will be from 9:30 until 10:45. Interment will follow services at Churchill County Cemetery.
