Carson High softball opens season with win against Fallon

ELK GROVE, Calif. — The Carson High softball team pushed across a run in the fifth, snapping a 4-all tie and grabbing a season-opening win over Fallon at Bartholomew Park in the first round of the Del Campo Tournament.

Kailee Luschar and Lauren Lemburg led the offense with two hits apiece. Lemburg drove in a run and Camryn Quilling drove in two.

Jailene Salciedo went the distance and didn’t allow an earned run as the Senators made seven errors. Salciedo struck out five and didn’t walk a batter.

She allowed five hits.

Camryn Quilling had a big triple to drive in Kassidy Cooley and Bella Kordonowy in a three-run third inning.
