Business briefly: RE/MAX agent earns annual sales production award

Mary Jo Brummer, with RE/MAX Realty Affiliates, has qualified for the distinguished RE/MAX Chairman’s Club Award in 2016 which honors successful agents.

In 2016, the Chairman’s Club Award was presented to less than two percent of all active RE/MAX Agents. This is the second year Brummer has received this award.

Brummer has been serving as a real estate agent for 20 years and has extensive experience in residential and relocation real estate.

She has earned the Certified Residential Specialist and Certified Distressed Property designations and the RE/MAX Lifetime Achievement and Hall of Fame awards.

Local business partnering with Pets of the Homeless

Nutrition Unlimited was welcomed by the national nonprofit Pets of the Homeless as a new donation site. Donations of pet food and supplies can be taken to 1507 Highway 395, Suite A, Gardnerville, that will be delivered to a local food bank, homeless shelter or homeless encampment.

The program is an ongoing national effort to regularly supply donated pet food to local people who can’t afford to properly provide for their pets.

More than 15,531 pets have been medically treated through the assistance of Pets of the Homeless, and 442 tons of pet food collected and distributed. The Carson City based nonprofit has provided more than $484,000 in veterinary care to pets of the homeless.

Dutch Bros. donates proceeds to CHS

Dutch Bros. Carson City celebrated its newest location and donated $3,500 to Carson High School on March 19. The new location on Highway 50 sold all 16-ounce drinks for $1 on opening day. All the funds raised will benefit Carson High School.
