Forrest Elledge was born March 3, 1933 in Enid, Oklahoma. When he was 8 years old the family relocated to San Francisco, where Forrest went on to graduate from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1951.


Forrest was a professional drummer whose career spanned over 40 years. During that time period he played drums in shows with several big named performers, including Carmen McRae and Billie Holiday. He retired from drumming in the early 1990’s.


Forrest lived in the Bay Area for nearly fifty years, with close to thirty of those years in San Jose and Los Gatos. He eventually found his way to Fallon, Nevada where he was actively involved in his church as a pastor and member of the worship team.


Forrest passed away on March 21, 2017 in Fallon with his family by his side. He is survived by his wife of thirty-two years Shy; daughter Lynn (Terry) Hippenhammer of Mukilteo, WA; son Mark (Sabrina) of Sheridan, WY; daughter Kristie

(Tim) Thompson of Escondido, CA; son Nathan (Joanne) of Newcastle, WA; son Kirk (Suzette) of Aurora, CO; son Andrew (Stephanie) McFarland of Paradise, CA; daughter Lauren McFarland of Sacramento, CA; 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.


A Celbration of Forrest’s Life will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Oasis Community Church, 1520 S. Maine St., Fallon


Donations may be made in Forrest’s memory to the Voice of the Martyrs.
