The Carson City Senior Center is holding a series of focus groups to better understand challenges and needs of senior citizens in the region. Carson City residents between the ages of 60 and 90 are asked to participate.
“We are seeking people who have never walked in the door and those who regularly attend,” said Courtney Warner, executive director for the Carson City Senior Center. “We want to know why people come, and why people may not be coming to help us raise awareness for the many programs and services we provide.”
Lunch will be provided. Focus groups will be held on the following days at the Senior Center, located at 911 Beverly Drive in Carson City:
Thursday, May 11, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. for Senior Center participants.
Friday, May 12, from 11:30 a.m-1 p.m. for people who don’t attend the center.
The focus groups, conducted by In Plain Sight Marketing, follow a city-wide survey about the center conducted throughout the month of March.
