The Moonlight Bunny Ranch suffered extensive damage after a semi-truck drove into the front of the brothel in Mound House shortly after 4 a.m. Thursday.
Lyon County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded and arrested Brian Brandt, 40, of Reno, on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, destruction of property, and possession of stolen property.
Brandt, who claimed he was a former employee, was found after a background check to have never worked for the Bunny Ranch or any other brothel, according to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation is continuing. Owner Dennis Hoff said the brothel would continue operations.
The man allegedly stole the semi-truck from his former employer, a trucking company in Sparks.
