Sheila Gay Sease

September 28, 1939 ~ October 30, 2017

Sheila Gay Sease was called by Our Lord Jesus Christ on October 30, 2017 to come to the Fathers House where He had prepared a place for her.

Sheila was the child of Norman Wilson and Marie Smith, born September 28, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan and died in Bandon, Oregon after a long and courageous fight with COPD and other complications.

She attended school in Carson City from the 4th grade to graduation from Carson High in 1957. In high school she was active in National Honor Society, was elected manager of the Carneta, and elected as 1956 Carson High School

Homecoming Queen. In later years she went on to attend WNCC graduating Summa Cum Laude in 1991.

Sheila’s belief in God and her religion were a large part of her life. She was a member of St. Teresa of Avila parish family serving as a reader, Eucharistic Minister, evening for the engaged leader, member of the parish council and several other committees. She also volunteered as a teacher’s assistant at St. Teresa’s school for several years.

She worked in banking as a receptionist and secretary, an insurance office manager, and seven sessions of the Nevada Legislature, and filled in as the secretary to Carson City Mayors and Board of Supervisors, City Manager’s Office, and a District Court Judge, while she raised a husband and 3 children.

She traveled extensively in Europe and the US. After retirement she spent her summers in Bandon, Oregon and winters in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

Sheila is predeceased in death by her mother and father.

She is survived by her husband Bernard; sons, Norman Alan (Kristine), Jason; and daughter Winifred (Windee) Crow; grandchildre, Jennifer and Michael Sease, Thomas, Adelaide, Astrid, and Arianell Crow, Tyler and Trevor Sease; brothers, “Skip” Albert (Joan) Wilson, Dennis (Nancy) Wilson, and Norman Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews .

A mass in celebration of Sheila’s life well be at St. Teresa of Avila’s Catholic Church, 3000 N. Lompa Ln., Carson City, NV at Noon on December 14, 2017.
