Ideas on Tap is back in action.

The public discussion forum which launched last month is holding its second meeting Wednesday from 6-7:30 p.m. in the lounge at Battle Born Social.

This time the talk is on making Carson City an even better place to live.

“This month’s topic will focus on tenets of Jim Collins’ book, ‘Good to Great,’” said Mike Smith, the organizer of the monthly event. “Not only does its sound management practices focus on corporations, businesses, and schools, ‘Good to Great’ can also relate to city government, and other unquantifiable forces, such as bureaucracy, lack of transparency, housing along with other ways to improve quality of living.”

Supervisor Lori Bagwell; John Brummer, associate, ReMax Realty; and Stacey Giomi, a candidate for Supervisor Ward 1, will take part in a panel to start the conversation before opening it up to a broader discussion with the audience.

“I’m very excited about this topic and looking forward to robust and respectful conversation,” said Smith.

Ideas on Tap events are free and participants can order drinks and food from Battle Born Social in the lounge, if they want, or simply attend.
