The Carson Blue Jays’ win streak ended at four games after suffering a doubleheader sweep at the hands of the Reno Knights.
The Knights pounded the Blue Jays, 19-1 and 11-1, on Saturday afternoon at Ron McNutt Field.
It was a tough day offensively for the Blue Jays, as they managed just five hits combined in the two games.
In the opener, Reno scored five times in the fifth to break open a close game. Five errors led to five unearned runs.
Casey Martensen drove in Carson’s only run with a single. Kahle Good also hit safely for Carson.
In the second game, Good went 2-for-3 with an RBI and Josh Buchan had a single.
