The Rams scored 26 unanswered points in the second half to beat the 49ers 40-13 last week in the NFL Talents Carson City Flag Football League.
In the only other game contested because of rain, the Chiefs remained unbeaten with a 43-13 win over the Cowboys.

Kaluza wins EV
Women’s tournament
Mary Kay Kaluza shot a net 61 to win the weekly Eagle Valley Women’s Club tournament on the West course. The format was throw out the three mean holes (Nos. 3, 13 and 15).
Jackie Allard and Gail Nelson finished two shots behind Kaluza in Flight 1.
Patty Boerio won Flight 2 with a net 59, five shots better than Margaret Konieczny and 13 shots better than Cherie Jewett.
Deb Ford was the low gross winner in Flight 1 with a 76 and Victoria DeVore was at 86 and Sandy Lawrence at 91. In Flight 2, Jean Barnett shot 89, Lucy Lamotte was at 103 and Luci Zuend shot 111.
Coons triumphs at
Carson Valley
Fred Coons shot a net 60 to win Flight A at the recent Carson Valley Golf Club’s Vice President’s Cup Tournament.
The format was your best 17 holes.
Matthew Cox won a tiebreaker over Chris Willing for second place in Flight A. Both shot net 62s.
Sandy Martin won Flight B with a net 60, a stroke better than Jim Arens and Jim Pillsbury. David Thorne won Flight C with a 60 in a tiebreaker against John Guidicatti. Jack Zippwald was third with a 62.
Coons and Willie Tenney won closest to the hole.
Charity golf at
Carson Valley
Carson Valley Golf Club is hosting the K-9 Charity Golf Tournament on June 16.
The cost is $75, and all proceeds go to the Douglas County Sheriff Department’s K-9 Unit.

Vadnais quartet wins
Empire Ranch event
The team of Mike Vadnais, Tom Teders, Juan Lopez and Gary Mick shot a net 49 to win the Empire Ranch Senior Men’s Club tournament played at Wolf Run in Reno.
The format was four-team scramble.
The Vadnais group won via a tiebreaker over John Masiello, Nick Paul, Mike Andrade and John Lewis. Albert Giannotti, Greg Bentley, Ken Cuneo and Skip Yokota were third, also with a 49. Dino DiCianno, Roger Maxwell, Dan Rodgers and Jerry Ventura shot 50.
Gene Gaston, Wade Walker, Hank Teague and Mel Ness won closest to the hole honors.
