The Dayton girls basketball team rolled to a 54-24 win over Wooster on Tuesday. Dayton outscored Wooster 29-6 in the second half after leading 25-18 at halftime.

“We looked strong running the court and were able to score with our fast break,” Dayton coach Kelly Frantz said. “We were a little rusty on defensive rotation, but were able to grab rebounds and take away second chances from Wooster’s offense.”

Aleea Howe had 19 points, six steals and four rebounds, Hannah Coltrin had a huge double double with 16 points, 15 rebounds and three steals and Eden Evans added nine points for the Dust Devils.

“Very happy to start the season with a win and to see cohesiveness early in our season,” Frantz said.
