Carson High’s Karen and Jill Beglin qualified for the State Championships on Thursday at the Nortehrn 4A Regional Golf Championships.
Jill Beglin finished second with a 152 after shooting a 78 in Thursday’s second round at Reno’s Arrow Creek Country Club. Wooster’s Lily Landt won the regional title with a 147 after firing a 74 on Thursday.
Karen Beglin finished fifth overall with a 156 after firing an 81 on Thursday.
The Beglins finished among the top six from non-qualifying teams to qualify for state.
Carson finished third as a team after shooting a 390 on Thursday to finish at 753. Reno won the team title after firing a 359 to finish at 700 and Manogue took second with a 716 after shooting a 369 on Thursday. Reno and Manogue qualified as the top two teams to state.
The state tournament will be held on Monday and Tuesday at Dayton Valley Golf Club.
