Jennifer Artz posted a string of pearls as the Carson High girls tennis team (2-3) rolled to a 15-3 win at home against Hug on Thursday.
Artz won 6-0, 6-0, 6-0. Rachel Fenzke also swept in singles 6-0, 6-0, 6-1 as did Shea Dunn 7-5, 6-0, 6-1 for the Senators.
In doubles for Carson, Sydney Lloyd and Becca Trejo won 7-5, 6-0, 6-0, Alex Knowlton and Isela Rodriguez won 6-2, 6-4 and Hailey Bauman and Lola Works won 6-3.
CHS volleyball rolls
Carson (10-2) rolled to a 25-14, 25-22, 25-17 win at Hug on Thursday.
Volunteers needed for regional, state golf
Volunteers are needed for the Northern 4A and State Girls Golf Championships.
Monitors are needed to help score each group in the tournaments.
Those interested can volunteer for just one day or for all the days the tournaments are held.
The Northern 4A Championships will be held Oct. 10-11 at Sierra Sage Golf Course. Tee times are 10 a.m. Oct. 10 and 11:30 a.m. Oct. 11.
The state tournament will be held Oct. 15-16 at Dayton Valley Country Club. Tee times each day will be in the morning.
